TRIP AGENDA

8:00 a.m. – Depart Park Road Shopping Center, Charlotte, NC

9:30 a.m. – Tour Krombolz garden

Inta Krombolz was well known for her garden and welded yard art that she crafted, at her home in the Philly area. She and her husband moved to Mooresville about five years ago to be near her grandchildren. They purchased three quarters of an acre on a lakefront lot. Inta moved many of her plants along with her to start her garden at their new home. She has unusual plants with interest in all seasons and continues to add to her collection. Additionally, she shares her garden knowledge and talent generously in her new community and was the eye behind the garden design at the Davidson Post Office.

11:30 a.m. – Depart for the Bragg Family Farm & Gardens

12:00 p.m. – Lunch and tour at the Bragg Farm

Lunch will be in a rustic barn on the farm of Kathy and Frank Bragg. Frank will give us a brief overview of the importance of land conservation and the history of their farm as a nature preserve and of the 1,000 acres of the Ramah Creek Conservation area. Time permitting, we will walk to see a wetland and an upland hardwood forest.

1:30 p.m. – Tour the Zimmermann gardens

An authentic Italian Renaissance country home with gorgeous formal gardens and beautiful moss paths through the woodland gardens surrounding the home. Their gardens include many native trees and shrubs as well as a bountiful semi formal perennial display behind the logia.
